My Setup
- SCOM 2007 R2 with SQL Server 2008 R2 on same machine SCOM01.MULPURU.LOCAL
Windows Server 2008 R2 – 6GB Ram – 8Core 3.33Ghz – VM - DC01.MULPURU.LOCAL as Domain Controller – VM
Things done before hand
- Created Global group named SCOMMgmrs on domain controller and added Domain Admins as Members
- Created a Domain User named SCOMMSAA for Operation Manager Action Account
- Installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Ent
- Added SCOMMSAA to Local Administrators group on SCOM01
- Imp: SCOM 2007 R2 Prerequisite fails to find SQL 2008 R2 Instance; Work around is to run \SupportTools\AMD64\DBCreateWizard.exe to create OpsManager Database
